The 1935 Zippo reproduces the look of one of Zippo's earliest models. This is the model that spawned the creation of the promotional lighter business for Zippo, where advertisers would have their logos applied to the face of the lighter.

It comes with a brushed chrome finish and differs from today's Zippo in a number of subtle and not-so-subtle ways:

- flat surface on top and bottom

- 1/8 inch shorter than current Zippo lighters

- diagonal grooves on the corners

- sharper corner edges

- 3-barrel hinge with outside hinge plates (modern Zippos have a 5-barrel hinge)

- hollow rivet on the flint wheel

- vintage trademark stamp on bottom
